
RAMP officially launched in underground mine in Stockholm
The Raw Materials Partnership for the Green and Digital Transition (RAMP) launched in Stockholm on 24–25 June, bringing together representatives from partner organisations from Europe and beyond. The kick-off meeting was organised by Vinnova, Sweden's Innovation Agency, which is coordinating the Partnership.

The was event hosted in an underground test mine in suburban Stockholm and provided the perfect backdrop for networking, relationship building, and discussions on the Partnership's strategic priorities and operational aspects.
A highlight was a series of keynote presentations and a panel discussion, which touched on topics ranging from the role of RAMP in stimulating international collaboration to the latest on rare earth elements, and the social and environmental aspects of raw materials.

The meeting also marked the launch of RAMP's first Joint Transnational Call, which offers new funding opportunities for international research and innovation projects across the raw materials value chain.
RAMP brings together 56 partner organisations from 33 countries to strengthen international collaboration on raw materials research and innovation. It builds on the legacy of the ERA-MIN programme but significantly scaled up ambition. RAMP has a total budget of approximately €350 million over 11 years, including €90 million from the European Union, and is expected to launch seven Joint Transnational Calls during its lifetime.
