The submitted pre-proposals have requested funding from 38 agencies from 26 countries participating in RAMP’s first Joint Transnational Call. Nine other countries are represented by self-funded partners. The national and regional funders participating in this call have together committed nearly 40 million euros towards the call.
Collaboration across research and industry
The average proposed project involves a consortium of 5 partners from 4 countries and has requested about 1 million euro in funding.
The 314 submitted pre-proposals include 1,678 applicants from 903 organisations representing different parts of the raw materials value chain. Around 72 per cent of the pre-proposals include both industry and academic partners. About 45 per cent of the applicants are from universities, 26 per cent from research organisations, 17 per cent from SMEs, 8 per cent from large companies and the rest from public authorities agencies and other types of organisations.

Strong interest in secondary raw materials
The call covers six topics spanning the raw materials value chain, from primary and secondary raw material supply to circularity, design and production, and analysis of raw materials value chains.
All six topics received pre-proposals, but Topic 2, focusing on recovering raw materials from secondary sources, received the largest share. These projects aim to bring raw materials from products and waste back into supply chains.

Evaluation results expected in December
The eligible pre-proposals will undergo a two-stage centralised evaluation process by thematic panels of independent international experts. The results of the first-stage evaluation are expected in mid-December 2026. Selected consortia will then be invited to submit a full proposal on or before 15 February 2027.
